Diabetes

Rheumatoid Arthritis

If inflammation, redness, and pain in the white part (sclera) of the eye is seen a person may be suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.

Iridocyclitis may mean a person is suffering from rheumatoid arthritis

Majority of the people suffering from iridocyclitis i.e. inflammation of the iris & ciliary body are speculated to have a joint disease like rheumatoid arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, etc.

Skin Cancer

Sore on the eyelid that is not healing & loss in eyelashes is an indication that there a basal cell carcinoma.

High Blood Pressure

Hypertensive retinopathy i.e damage of blood vessel in a retina can be due to the high blood pressure. Undergoing an annual eye screening is suggested, for an ophthalmologist to pick up such signs.

High Cholesterol

A white ring formed around corneal arcus can be an indication of high cholesterol & triglycerides. High cholesterol raises the risk of stroke or heart attack
