Congratulations on getting your first pair of eye lenses, it will definitely help your vision and keep up your charm as an individual. And you might be marveling at the technology which built this eye lens, especially since now you can see small visual details- like the dews on the grass and small specks of color on bright green leaves.

But there must be something that may bother you during this introductory phase of wearing eye lenses, especially since this is a medical device built to take care of your eye and vision is one of the most treasured for you. So here are a few tips designed to put you on the path to a lifetime of success with your new contact lenses

  1. There are many people who worry that they might scratch the eye while putting on the lens as well as the lens might drop into the back of the eye while it is in it. Relax, there may be an awkward feeling when you put on the lenses at first, you may be nervous, but there is nothing to worry about if you are touching your eyes with clean hands. Plus the inside of your eyes are connected to the back of your eyes so there is nothing to worry about your eyes dropping into the abyss.
  2. Keep lenses clean. Don’t take shortcuts while cleaning lens. Your doctor recommended a cleaning regime when it comes to your eye lens and you should follow it. For example, use a multipurpose cleaning solution, everytime you remove your lenses, you should rub and then place the eye lenses into the solution. When you place the lenses into the solution in the night, in the morning empty out the case and clean it with fresh solution and place it on a paper towel to air dry.
  3. Whether you wear contact lenses or not, you need to keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Plus, if your lifestyle requires to keep your eyes hydrated it should be followed with drinking plenty of water with rewetting drops. For example, if you spend a major part of your days looking at the computer screen, or are exposed to dry air, heat or air conditioning then you require eye wetting drops, even if you don’t wear contact lenses. It is important to know that your contact lenses and eye drops should be compatible before you start using it.
